About Us
Since 1973, we have been perfecting the art of freshness, quality, and old-fashioned customer service. Our 40-foot meat and deli case boasts the freshest steaks, ground beef, chicken, and pork we source locally. Our sausages and brats are all homemade here in the store and include flavors like Mac & Cheese, Gummi Bear, Dilly Pickle, Walldorff's IPA, Cheddar, Blueberry, and Bacon Cheddar to name a few! Our smoked products include jerky, meat sticks, bologna, BBQ pork, pastrami, chicken breast and thighs, hot dogs, bacon, and cheeses. Tom's is a full-service grocery store with an excellent selection of produce, bakery, beer, and wine.

Our History
Tom's began in 1972 when Tom Robinson bought and re-named Hales Market in Hastings. Tom sold the business to his son Steve Robinson in 1976 who, with his wife Sara, began to create the store we have today, bringing in fresh meats and smoking meats. In 1999, Carl and Nicole Smith bought Steve out and ran the store together until his passing in 2014. Sadly, the Memorial weekend of the same year, the store had a terrible fire. It was a complete loss. With the encouragement and support of the community Nicole re-built. On November 1st 2014, Tom’s doors were re-opened in Hastings. In 2022 the Gun Lake location was opened. Nicole and her son Nick along with their amazing staff operate the stores today. Stop in and say hello, we are all family here and look forward to serving you!
